The Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has ordered a total proscription of all human and vehicular movement in Oba Akoko, Akoko South West local government area of the state.
This followed the massive distruption of the electoral process in Oba Akoko, which led to indiscriminate and criminal shooting, wanton destruction of ballot boxes, properties, vehicles, homes and the general peace of citizens and residents of the town.
All residents, citizens and commuters through Oba Akoko are to stay indoor, while all roads have been closed down with immediate effect.
Governor Akeredolu directed that commercial activities be shut down with immediate effect, with everyone remaining indoors until further notice.
Law enforcement agencies have been ordered to arrest anyone seen on the streets and other unauthorised areas, with warning that any attempt to test the will of security agencies will be decisively dealt with.
