Much was expected from them and of course, Lyta lived up to expectations as YBNL released his first official single at the label “Time” featuring label Boss Olamide. The song received positive reviews from music critics and fans and this made a video for the single necessary and a video was shoot and released to promote the song further.
Month passed and Lyta is still enjoying much relevance in the music industry and a new single dropped titled “Self Made” which was well received too but not as positive as “Time”
But recently (Before YBNL exit), Lyta has failed to dropped any single but featured on couple of songs and this is undoubtedly as a result of the new kids Olamide signed to YBNL. Lyta couldn’t drop a single for months and I think this might have made him frustrated especially now that Olamide is giving more attention to Fireboy.
Although, Olamide claimed that the Label has a calendar which is strictly followed regarding song release by artistes signed to the label. Fireboy was signed to the label shortly after YBNL unveiled both Picazo Rahp and Yomi Blaze.
Now that Lyta had been kicked off the label, what’s next for Lyta?? Will he be able to claim or better his spot in the industry?, Will the purported “New Label” be able to push Lyta’s career further?, recall that Olamide claimed that Lyta told him that he had a new label knocking on his door, what if it’was a lie or a propaganda just to get off YBNL, will he be able to cope with the pressure that will mount on him for couple of months? All and more of this questions is what everyone, especially fans of Lyta are trying to find answers to but only time can tell.
I think Lyta should have exit YBNL in a better and less controversial scenario like Chinko Ekun did but he failed to do that. Same as Rapper, Davolee. As we all know that both artistes unfollowed each other on social media. The transition from YBNL to his new label could have been less stressful with the blessing of Olamide whose influence in the industry can’t be undermined.
Xino, a very talented music act who also got off the label in a controversial way is no where to be found now. The last time we heard about him was when he blasted Olamide on his social media page years ago. Lyta is still young and has a lot of potentials in him who can still make do with his talent like Kiss Daniel did after he left G Worldwide in a more controversial way.
I wish Lyta all the best for the future, greater heights are still attainable. Coming back to the Industry (with the new label) is not supposed to be a major task for him but surely would have been easier with the support of his former Boss.
