
The Ondo State governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has announced that a curfew will commence with immediate effect between 7pm and 7am in the state till further notice.
He stated this at a press briefing which was steamed live on the Ondo State Government official facebook page in light of the 3rd Covid-19 case confirmed in the state.
After the briefing, the governor took to his twitter handle to shed more light on the curfew:

Today, we took more sterner measures to ensure compliance to the regulations we passed in order to control the spread of #COVID19 in Ondo State.
Henceforth we will be imposing a curfew from 7pm to 7am everyday with effect from today 14th April, 2020 until further notice
We will arrest and detain individuals found to have breached government’s directives on restriction of movement of persons and goods, operation of business premises and community markets, religious gatherings and public bars and other social activities within the state.

He implore the people of the state to continue adhering to various lock down orders so as to reduce the risk of the spread of the Corona virus pandemic as defaulters will face the full wrath of the law.
