The coach of La Liga side, Getafe, Pepe Bordalás, says he’s worried about Super Eagles midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo’s loneliness.
Getafe, like most of the teams in La Liga, has not had a taste of action since the Spanish authorities’ halted league matches over threats of transmission of COVID-19, a global pandemic.
Bordalás told RTVE that he keeps in touch with his players with electronic communication devices where he monitors their fitness level and general wellbeing.
The 56-year-old Alicante native said, “He (Etebo) could not go home, and he is alone.”
Etebo joined the Spanish side on loan in January from Stoke City for more playing time which he lacked with the Potters.
The loan contract could also be made permanent for the former Under-23 Beijing bronze medalist.
