
The Deputy Governor of Ondo state, Hon. Agboola Ajayi has resigned from the All Progressives Congress.
In the letter, the Deputy Governor said “I write to tender my resignation as member of the All Progressives Congress. I sincerely appreciate the Party for the opportunity to serve, while wishing the party the best. Thank you”

This resignation is coming in less than 24 hours after the Deputy Governor was blocked from leaving his office premises by the State Commissioner of Police, Bolaji Salami.
In the video that surfaced online, the Commissioner of Police was heard saying his actions was because the Deputy Governor as perfected his plans to deflect to the People Democratic Party.
Although responding to Sahara Reporters tweet, the state Governor, Arákùnrin Rotimi Akeredolu said this wasn’t so
“Total Misrepresentation of facts. I did not tell the government house security to hold him back at any point. Why would I? Agbo can go anywhere he likes. I wish him well.” he tweeted
Following the Deputy Governor’s resignation, Hon. Agboola Ajayi proceeded to the secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party in the ward, and announced his defection to the party and obtained his membership card. .
