Incumbent Governor of Ondo state, Arákùnrin Rotimi Akeredolu has won The All Progressives Congress Flag to contest in the coming October 10 Election.
The Indirect Primary Election which took place at the International Culture and Event Center, Dome saw Mr Akeredolu winning in all the local government areas of the state.
As expected, The Election had earlier witness different drama, as 5 contestants stepped down and décalée support for Aketi.
They were also rumors that Chief Olusola Oke had stepped down, although he debunk it via his Twitter account.
Speaking to Journalists, Akeredolu said he had never want to be
“ involved in all the complaints because I know that a farmer goes to farm with implements. The farmer only complains when he is not ready.”
“In the APC, we know those who have been delegates over the years since APC came to be. We all know who the delegates are. I know the God I serve, He will do me well and all plans will fall in place.
There were 3016 accredited Voters while 2793 total votes were casted with 33 invalid votes.
With a total of 2760 votes, Olusola Iji pulled 9 votes, while Kekemieke gather 19 votes. Chief Olusola Oke came second with 262 votes as Akeredolu wins with a big margin of 2,458 votes.
