It’s true that his excellency president Muhammadu Buhari fought diligently to protect her citizenry from the deadly virus called covid-19.

Ever since the outbreak of covid-19, schools across the nation was declared closed by president Muhammadu Buhari to help in the easing of the spread of covid-19 virus in the country.

Due to the declaration of total lockdown by the federal government, universities and polytechnics have not written their first semester examinations before schools where declared closed, up till date schools has not resumed let alone writing second semester exams.

So many students are saying that the federal government in conjunction with the ministry of education will award marks to Universities and polytechnics students, due to the inability to conduct first and second semester examination at the same time, honestly if the academic calendar is to be in its normalcy universities and polytechnics perhaps should have finished their second semester exams by now. But the truth is that all are mere rumors because the federal government or the ministry of education has not approved awarding marks to all students.

In sync with this, all universities and polytechnics undergraduate should note this concerning first and second semester exams.

1. The federal government in conjunction with the ministry of education has not approved awarding marks to all students.

2. The federal government has agreed on school resumption but it’s left for state governments to decide on when to reopen schools in their various states, following the guideline provided by the Nigeria center for disease control.
