Donny van de Beek appeared to be Manchester United’s only marquee signing of the summer – but it now appears two more are coming in quick succession!
The Red Devils look to have finally cracked Porto in their pursuit of Alex Telles, as talkSPORT understands the attacking left-back is set to complete his Old Trafford move on Monday.
That transfer has been in the works for weeks – but the other one has really come out of nowhere with Edinson Cavani set to sign on deadline day too.
talkSPORT understands the veteran striker, 33, is flying in for his medical on Sunday and will sign a two-year contract on Monday to bolster United’s already very competent attack.
Cavani, who has scored 341 goals in his incredible club career, has been a free agent since his contract with Paris Saint-Germain ended earlier in the summer.
He made his name at previous club Napoli and also has 50 goals for his native Uruguay to his name.
As mentioned, he adds to United’s already dangerous attack, with Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood and others already among the ranks.
The Cavani transfer is a huge surprise given Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seems pretty settled on making Rashford, Martial and Greenwood his front three, while back-up options Daniel James and Odion Ighalo can be used in their absence.
