Pentagon Movement Group (PMG) Ekiti State has hailed Governor Kayode Fayemi for recently approving three new model colleges in the State which would definitely facilitate a substantial increase in school enrollment.

It should be recalled that the Governor gave the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), a go-ahead sign to establish three new model colleges in the state in a way to promote literacy.

Prof. Femi Akinwumi, Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), disclosed this in Ado-Ekiti while receiving a team set up by the Federal Government to monitor UBEC projects and programs in some selected states.

In a statement made available to journalists in Ado Ekiti, the State Capital, the State Coordinator of PMG which is a youth sociopolitical empowerment group, Ade-Ademola Ilesanmi praised governor Fayemi for consistently advocating the course of knowledge and its expansion in the state.

Ademola also recalled the recent approval of the establishment of Medical University in Iyin which was traceable to the Governor’s genius while describing him as an epitome of excellence.

“I will like to commend the efforts of Governor Kayode Fayemi in repositioning Ekiti State back to live its name, Fountain of Knowledge. Meanwhile, this group, PMG is committed to the advocacy of quality education for all. Hence, we will always pitch our tent with the Governor who is the number one advocate of knowledge growth and expansion in the state.

“And that’s why we usually refer to him as an epitome of excellence,” Ademola said

The colleges would be structured with security, pupil- friendly and a conducive learning environment with suitable water and sanitation facilities as well as well-trained teachers and other initiatives to support the holistic development of the child are guaranteed at the model colleges.

As subjects, the institutions would have chemistry, biology, and physics laboratories, as well as ICT and home economics laboratories, like the four model colleges, earlier established by the Fayemi-led administration.
