KIDNAPPED VICTIMS REGAINS FREEDOM IN OGUN

The kidnappers of two Islamic clerics at Ayetoro in Yewa-North Local Government of Ogun state have released their victims after collecting N2.2 million as ransom.

The kidnappers had successfully taken away Hussein Abdul Jelil and his friend, Ilyas Muhammed Jamiu on Saturday around 10:00pm

According to the elder brother to one of the victims, Hussein Ibrahim, he said that the family and friends contributed the ransom and handed it over to the kidnappers to secure their release.

Following reports from punch  newspaper, the kidnappers, who had demanded N15 million ransom, stating that they have two hostages with them, later agreed to collect N2.2 million as ransom.

However, the police public Relations Officer in the state, DSP, Abimbola Oyeyemi said he had not been briefed about the latest development.
