APC Chieftain mourns the death of Former Governor Oyo State

Adegboyega Adegoke,IBADAN – All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain has condoled with the family of a former Governor of Oyo State, Otun­ba Adebayo Alao-Akala, the Oyo State government, Ogbomosho people and the people of the state over the sudden death of the former Governor.

Alao-Akala passed on ear­ly hours of Wednesday in his resident at Ogbomoso at the age of 71.

While paying tribute to the late former governor in a statement he person­ally signed on Wednesday, Adegoke described late Alao-Akala’s influence and contributions to Oyo State and Nigeria’s democracy as indelible.

Alao-Akala lived for the welfare and security of the common man. His steadfastness, commitment to the cause of one Nigeria and optimistic spirit towards na­tional development will con­tinue to inspire us both now and in future.

“Late Alao-Akala was a political enigma, whose vi­brancy and dynamism had earned him many laurels in the political circuit.

“He would be sorely missed in view of his giant political strides and contributions to the building of this nascent political dispensation.

“Otunba Alao-Akala was a special breed, who contrib­uted immensely to the devel­opment of Ogbomoso, Oyo State and country as whole. He was such a great patriot, who had contributed his own quota to the development of Oyo State”.
