The management of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo state, has postponed all examinations earlier scheduled to hold today, 4th February,2021 to honour the Departed victims of the accident that occurred along the school road yesterday.
Recall that three gruesome accidents occurred along the tiny road of Akungba-Ikare yesterday, 3rd February, in which a 400l student, a graduate and some students of the institution lost their lives.
The registrar of the school Dr. Olugbenga Arajulu made this known in a press release that was released in the early hours of today.
“The Management of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko has expressed serious concern over the incessant rate of accidents claiming the lives of students of the University”.
“In view of the accident that claimed the life of a former student late evening of yesterday 4th February 2021,Management has decided to postpone today’s examinations. This is to honour the departed soul. A new date for the examinations will be announced later”.
“The Management is currently engaging all relevant stakeholders on what should be done to address the ugly trend, and put and end to vehicular accidents in the University town”.
