Bauchi speaker urges Muslims to show love to others

The Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Abubakar Suleiman, has urged Muslims in the and the country at large to use the period of the celebration of the Eid-el-Kabir as an opportunity to show more love and compassion to people around them.


He stated this in a Sallah message made available to journalists in Bauchi by his spokesperson, Abdul Burra.


Suleiman, who is also the Chairman, Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, congratulated Muslim Ummah on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration, saying that the period, which signifies sacrifice and devotion to the worship of the Almighty Allah as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS), reminds entire Muslims of the need of total submission to the will of Allah and make more sacrifices for Him, Islam and humanity.


He enjoined Muslims to “be their brothers’ keepers by offering helping hands, showing compassion, brotherhood, love, and shunning backbiting, enmity and dangerous envy among others.”
