The All Progressives Grand Alliance has felicitated with Muslims in the country on this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival.
Muslims all over the country have been urged to live up to the tenets of the Eid-el-Kabir by showing restraint in the face of persecution, suffering and chastisement.
In a Sallah message signed and issued to newsmen on Friday in Abuja, the National Chairman of APGA, Dr. Victor Oye, charged Muslims to remain faithful to their faith by shunning those things that run contrary to it.
He condemned the evils that currently plagued our society and blamed the elite for the worsening conditions of living among the citizenry.
Dr. Oye expressed dismay at the heightening insecurity in the country and advised security agencies to brace up to the situation and save Nigeria from unwarranted loss of precious lives through kidnapping, robbery and corruption.
“We can only move forward as a nation if we shunned corrupt practices, ethnicity, hate, and clannishness,” he admonished.
He called on all Nigerians not to despair in the face of growing inflation, high cost of living, insecurity and other anti-social factors confronting them, expressing strong conviction that in no distant date, God would show us mercy.
The APGA boss charged those celebrating the annual event to do so responsibly and moderately.
He prayed God to bless and protect all Nigerians as we marched towards 2023.
