Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed reveals why he pulled out of Kaduna governorship race.

It’s no longer news that former Anambra State governor and presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has picked a running mate for the forthcoming 2023 presidential election.

It is said that the vice presidential candidate of the Labour Party is Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, a former member of the House of Representatives who represented Zaria Federal constituency between 2003 and 2007.

Meanwhile, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed has revealed why he pulled out of the Kaduna state governorship primaries under the platform of the PDP for the 2023 governorship election in the state.

Speaking during an interview with Channels TV, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed noted that he pulled out because of voters inducement.

“I withdrew from the governorship race of Kaduna state in PDP because, God has not created me as one that will buy delegates vote”.

“I made it categorically clear that I was not in search of a job, I was there to correct a very bad situation. When it became apparent that it was necessary to buy votes, I said no I can’t do this. It’s not me. Respectfully I withdrew from the race”
