Ex Nigeria President Goodluck Jonathan is currently in Banjul, the capital city of Gambia.
Jonathan travelled to the West-African country on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.
The former Nigerian leader lectured the Gambian lawmakers on accountability and democracy.
He said, “At the opening session of the two-day capacity building workshop for members of the Gambian parliament in Banjul, organised by the @GEJFoundation in collaboration with the @ECOWASParliamnt.”
“I joined other participants to make the point that parliament plays a key role in fostering political accountability and emphasise that democracy works better when parliamentarians promote interparty collaboration around viable initiatives for public good.”
The former President has been appointed to supervise elections in various countries since he left office in 2015.
